Build something that ships
into the field.

We are a research-grounded team building a new category of physical-security sensing. We are looking for builders who want to ship hardware into the real world — not slideware, not lab-only prototypes, but sensors that live outside through Nordic winters and protect assets that matter.

The honest version.

There are easier places to take a paycheck. We're betting that you want something else.

The work is real.

We have a working prototype, an EIC-funded research programme and a roadmap to customer deployments inside 2026. The market need is documented and immediate. You will not be building demos for VCs — you will be building hardware for solar farms and substations.

The category is forming.

Passive RF sensing at the asset-protection scale is a category that does not yet have a clear category leader in Europe. We have a credible shot at being it. That requires people who can think technically and shape what gets built.

The team is small and serious.

Four people today — two senior academic researchers, an RF engineer, and a commercial operator. You join with founding-team weight. Decisions are made in conversation, not in committee. The flip side is honest startup risk.

Open role

Embedded Systems Lead

Gothenburg, Sweden · On-site · Founding-team equity

What you will own

  • The embedded software and hardware stack for our passive RF sensing nodes — from board design collaboration through firmware and field deployment
  • Taking prototype designs to production-ready hardware that operates reliably outdoors through Nordic winters and Iberian summers
  • Translating sensing algorithms from research into edge-deployable, low-power code
  • Hardware testing, calibration, firmware-update and remote-diagnostic processes that work at scale across many distributed sensors
  • The full physical product that customers will deploy at solar farms, substations, telecom sites and beyond

What we expect

  • Five or more years of professional embedded systems experience, with at least one product that shipped to real customers
  • Strong C/C++ fundamentals and embedded Linux comfort
  • Experience with low-power, battery-backed and solar-powered systems
  • Either hardware design experience yourself, or strong collaboration history with hardware engineers
  • A bias to ship — and to learn from what happens after shipping
  • EU or EEA work authorisation, or willingness to relocate to Sweden

What would help

  • RF, signal processing or sensor-fusion exposure
  • Experience with industrial or critical-infrastructure deployments (energy, telecom, transport)
  • Familiarity with mesh networking, LoRaWAN, NB-IoT or low-bandwidth backhaul
  • Swedish — useful but not required; we work in English

What we offer

  • Founding-team equity, with the band shared transparently on the first call
  • Competitive salary, calibrated to the Swedish deep-tech market
  • A short, direct path to applied research at Chalmers and Uppsala
  • A product that customers will deploy within months — not years
  • An in-person team in Gothenburg — we work shoulder-to-shoulder, not remotely

How to apply

Send a short note to [email protected] with:

  • Why this fits — two paragraphs are enough
  • Resume or LinkedIn
  • One example of embedded work you are proud of — a link, a repo, a write-up, anything

We respond to every application within five working days. If we are not the right fit, we will tell you that, and tell you honestly why.

Considered, but fast.

Three founders, an RF engineer, and soon an embedded lead. Decisions happen in conversation — over a whiteboard, in a slack thread, in a Friday review. We bias to shipping and to learning from the field rather than perfecting in the lab.

We work in English. We are based in Gothenburg and work together in person — we believe close-quarters collaboration is how a small team builds a real product. We believe a five-person team can move faster than a fifty-person one, and we intend to prove it.

If that sounds like the working culture you have been looking for, we would like to talk.

Apply or ask.
